ABOUT KAREN
I have attended many births over the past five years, but I’ve been a certified labor and postpartum doula since 2020. I realized my calling to birth work early on in my life. I see serving and supporting families as a gift. ​I seek to make a difference in every life that I encounter.

I believe that every person deserves a doula. I support clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. I accept clients with Medicaid and serve birthing people in the Michigan Prison Doula Initiative (MPDI).
Outside of birth work, I am a certified Transformational Life Coach career coach, and mental and emotional health advocate. I am an adoptive mother of 5 and biological mother of two, and loving grandmother of four. My grandchildren call me their “Amazing MiMi.” The thought of babies and children brings joy to my heart. In my spare time,I love traveling, golfing, watching movies and hanging out with friends.

My hope as a doula is to foster a space wherein birthing people and their families feel like “I am family.”
